Starting my child at Buttercups was one of the best decisions I made. My daughter thrived since being at Buttercups, I was nervous but she has always gone inside happy and asks to go to nursery. Her individual development is supported and I know that she has targets to achieve new skill. These were communicated through parents evening and on her two year check. The bond my daughter has with her key worker, and with all the staff, is amazing and this clearly shows on her tapestry. I love that the staff are supportive with any hurdle that we come across as a family. They have always offered their advice, giving me time to talk and have never casted judgment. I recommend Buttercups because I have had nothing but positive experiences there. My daughter is so happy and I feel confident that the care she is getting is quality care. Her confidence and development has improved in so many ways- she always has something to tell me when she comes out.
We are thrilled to have found Buttercups. Our Son seems to have settled in well and enjoy his time with you. The staff are excellent, always welcoming and good at giving reassurance when on the odd occasion he’s been upset on dropping off. Handovers on pick up brilliant and gives a good personal insight into what he has done. We would have no hesitations in recommending Buttercups. A big thank you to all the staff 🙂
Buttercups is a nursery where children are safe & empowered to learn & grow! The staff are always informative & have a real passion for supporting children to explore the world & prepare for their next steps all whilst having fun a long the way. With all the experience they were quickly able to identify areas where my child required extra support & this has continued to support his development which has grew his confidence & furthered his learning. I would highly recommend buttercups nursery if you want a setting where you feel confident in the safeguarding procedures, open & transparent communication, experience of the team & and place where your child feels seen, heard & encouraged to achieve their best.
We absolutely adore the nursery and would recommend it, the staff are helpful and always polite. We definitely made the right choice picking Buttercups.
Thankyou to you all for everything you do 🙂I had a pretty rough start to motherhood and this has made me an anxious mum. I felt sick with worry the first day I dropped off my daughter to Nursery. Trusting other people with the most precious thing in my life was a hard thing to do. BUT I couldn’t be more at ease now with leaving my daughter in the girls very capable hands. I feel zero anxiety and have absolute trust that she will be cared for in the best way. This is thanks to everyone at Buttercups but especially the wonderful staff in Bumblebee room. They are an absolute credit to the nursery. Thankyou for all you do.
We absolutely love Buttercups! Never had any issues, I really believe Buttercups goes above & beyond and provides the best & safest environment for my child. She has developed & strived in Buttercups & looks forward to Nursery all the time.
It is a wonderful nursery that evidently tries hard to be its best. I think currently it appears well staffed and well equipped, so I don’t think anything else needs to be offered. I appreciate recent government changes have been difficult but the resilience of staff has been incredible and our child’s experience has not been impacted despite, I’m sure, there being extra pressure on staff and resources. I cannot thank staff enough, knowing my child is cared for so well.
It’s a great nursery – we are grateful for all the care and support given to our son. He is such a happy kid, and we feel nursery play’s a massive part in that. Thank you to both the staff on the floor and in the office for creating such an amazing environment.

Buttercups Principles
Through the principles of Buttercups, we offer the children to…
-
The Buttercups Principles are designed to follow the EYES Statutory Framework and is further guided by the document “Development Matters” which sets out the learning, development and assessment requirements for all children to the end of their reception year.
Our intention is to provide a broad and ambitious curriculum for your children which gives them the essential knowledge and culture capital they need to exceed in life.
All early years practitioners are required to pursue daily rich activities to support each child’s educational development across seven areas of learning.
The EYFS framework has never prescribed a particular teaching approach and the new framework holds true to this value. Our Philosophy of Early Years Education remains the same with play and well-being at the heart of everything we do.
Our children are highly motivated, curious and enthusiastic learners, they are happy and enjoy their time at nursery. They have positive attitudes towards play and learning. They are confident, resilient individuals who have high levels of self-esteem and feel safe and secure. They flourish in social situations and build excellent relationships with their peers and understand rules and boundaries. They develop a love of reading and communicate effectively. All children, including those with additional needs, thrive and those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) achieve the best possible outcomes. All of our children are fully prepared for the next stage of their education.
