Dragonfly Room

A Positive Transition to School will begin in the Dragonfly Room. 

Based on the skills, knowledge and attitudes that reception class teachers highlight are important for children to achieve so that they are ready to start school. 

Children will be supported to achieve the steps through secure daily routines, well-planned continuous provision, and the consistent implementation of our Curriculum. 

Self-registration will support the children in beginning to recognise the letters of their name. Each day when your child arrives they will be encouraged to find and place their name on the self-registration board. 

Letters and Sounds is a teaching programme designed to help children understand how the alphabet works for reading and spelling and is delivered through a variety of fun activities.
